5 Ways to Flush!

We have discovered that there are at least 5 ways to flush le toillette in Europe.... 1.) pull handle up 2.) pull chain down 3.) push button at eye level in 4.) push bar up.. and the traditional 5.)
handle down...

Jean Jaquette is enjoying the city... a trip to the Louvre, Eiffel Tower, riverboat cruise down the Seine River, and a luxurious visit to Versailles.

Tips for you future European Jean Jacket Travelers:

Don't get behind a group of nuns with luggage when getting off the train... you may get separated from your fellow traveler... however, if that does happen... Moms and Shara... we have a SSP (subway separation plan!)

Enjoy a hot dog from a street vendor.... excellent.. thanks Pat L. for the recommendation.

Melissa... another crepe' :)

Don't visit the Louvre when every country in the world has a tour group visiting.... Let's just say we had more fun looking at the people taking pictures of the art than the actual art!

Metro/RER: We haven't gotten on a wrong train yet.... We are taking Rick Steve's advice...imitate the locals and look like you know what you are doing!

We have been taking French lessons along the way... Here are some helpful phrases:

sortie- exit
toillettes: bathroom
merci: thank you
tres bien: very good
bon jour: hello
oui: yes

We have lost track of counting parisian jean jaquettes, but we are in the Jean Jaquette captial. Keep wearing them girls!

Until our next blog!

Karen and Jennifer
